Abstract

|
An ameloblastoma is a rare odontogenic tumor, in which several morphologic types have been described. Among these types, granular cell ameloblastoma is most uncommon in occurarlce- and ocntroversial in histogenesis of granular cell and its nature.
The authors experienced a rare case of pathologically confirmed granular cell ameloblastoma of mandible in 45-year-old Korean female.
We report this case with literature review emphasizing the histogenesis of granular cell and its granule of the granular cell ameloblastoma.
To our knowledge, this is the second reported case of granular cell ameloblastoma of Jaw, in Korea.
